Teacher/Dependent Insurance Update

While in the US on a J-1 VISA, you are required to have insurance that includes three parts:

health insurance (minimum of $100,000 limit and deductible less than or equal to $500)
repatriation of remains (minimum of $25,000 coverage)
emergency medical evacuation (minimum of $50,000 coverage)
